Simon Benita, PhD, Chair, Scientific Advisory Board
Simon Benita is a Professor at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, his research focused on nano- and microparticulate drug delivery systems aimed at improving the therapeutic performance of active ingredients. He has published 144 research articles and 18 book chapters, edited 4 books and been issued 16 patents and 8 patent applications. He is the recipient of The Hebrew University Kaye Innovation Award in 2000 and again in 2005, and is an AAPS Fellow. Simon founded company Novagali Pharma, France acquired by Santen Co., Japan in 2012 and is currently the Director of the Institute for Drug Research and Head of the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Marc Rothenberg, MD, PhD, Co-Chair, Scientific Advisory Board
Dr Rothenberg is the Director of Immunology and Allergy at the world renowned Center for Eosinophilic Diseases and a tenured Professor of Medicine at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr Rothenberg completed his MD/ PhD, Residency in Pediatrics and dual fellowships in Immunology and Hematology at Harvard Medical School. During his time at Harvard, he did pioneering work on Human Eosinophils and the Eotaxin chemokine. He co-authored in 1996 the landmark Nature Medicine publication on Human Eotaxin and Eosinophils and has since published extensive original experimental and clinical studies confirming the importance of Eotaxin and Eosinophil regulation in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Severe Asthma.
